What is Breath?
Breathing is the first action we do as we are born.
It is the first physiological change, the first separate motion from our mother's body, and our first independent action as a free being.
Anything that happens from that moment on- is history.
A history of expansion, joy and loving movements, and also,
a history of contraction, fear, reduction and obstruction.
Each time we were told "no" for something we wanted- something contracted inside us.
Each time we felt hurt, upset or offended by others- somthing shrank.
Each time we felt love and did not feel it back- another part of us had gotten blocked.
Our body remembers everything!
The body carries all of this information inside the tissues and cells, which gradually, as years go by, becomes an overload longing to be released.
~Our breath is the medicine~
The deep inhale, allows oxygen to enter the body, and flow exactly to the places that need to awake, ventilate and expand, to reach the organs, cells and tissues that hold the cellular memory, the feelings and emotions that are just waiting to be released from our system.
The deep exhale, clears waste from our body, along with residues of memories and beliefs that no longer serve us.
A deep and continuous inhale and exhale create synchronicity between the old and the new, connect the body and spirit.
Breathing is a natural resource, that uses the oxygen around us and instill life inside us.
No breath is like the other. Each breath is different and unique, and indicates what occurs inside us, at this moment.
Each breath invites us to be present.
The breath has no past nor future, it connects us to the 'here and now', and helps us be more aware of subconscious, physical and emotional contents, that exist in our body.
